Refresher courses

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) through Deakin University, in partnership with the Teacher Learning Network and the Australian Education Union, is offering refresher courses for qualified teachers wishing to return to teaching in Victorian government schools.

The refresher courses are being offered throughout 2011 in metropolitan and country locations. There is no cost for participants.

Courses are open to qualified teachers registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching who have not held a teaching position in a government school in the last three years. Teachers who have worked as Casual Replacement Teachers during this time and registered teachers who have interstate and/or overseas training/experience and who have not taught in a Victorian government school are also eligible to apply.
