Deakin’s dance graduates are trained to be confident self-starters who have excellent choreography ability and high level contemporary dance technique.

Dance is taught at Deakin’s Melbourne campus at Burwood, a friendly, and thriving student environment with a strong community feeling.

Students develop practical skills in contemporary technique and choreography while interrelating this physical aspect with theoretical studies in dance history, analysis and aesthetics. Production and research project units place students' work in a public and professional context.
