INTERACTIVE MEDIA

The Bachelor of Interactive Media is an innovative 3 year course taught jointly by the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science & Technology.

The course aims to develop graduates who have a solid foundation in design, combined with technical skills in film, TV, video, special effects, animation and games design. Students are taught with industry preferred authoring tools so that they are immediately employable upon graduation.

There is a strong emphasis on project work that mimics the typical design studio, allowing students to develop project management skills that are essential in any design or multimedia studio.

Open studio environment

The Bachelor of Interactive Media has its own purpose-built studio. Students of all levels are encouraged to work alongside each other, and share their learning experience – much like an architecture learning environment.

A student lounge with kitchen and games room equipped with Xbox, and PS2 consoles have been specifically installed to meet the needs of Bachelor of Interactive Media students.

Industry links with guest presenters

Guest presenters and tutors regularly visit from industry, giving students a great opportunity to forge networks with future employers.
