Publication Opportunities for Poets

Take a look at the Five Islands Press page via www.australianbookgroup.com.au/Publishers/FiveIslandsPress. The opening page gives details for intending contributors, and of the New Poets Program which includes a very prestigious and helpful poetry workshop. Their aims:

  • Five Islands Press aims to publish the best in contemporary Australian poetry. Beyond that, there are no requirements as to style, genre, form or layout: all will be considered as long as the poetry is good.
  • A catalogue of our previous publications is available from the address on the website if required.
  • We do not publish prose fiction or non-fiction.
  • Five Islands Press runs two separate publishing programs: Mainstream Program and New Poets Program. Check the deadlines and requirements.
