The Le@rning Federation trial

The content developed by The Learning Federation (TLF) is made up of Learning Objects and Digital Resources. There are over five thousand of these, and we have made them available through the Deakin Learning Repository in The Learning Federation trial which is part of a larger Learning Repository trial conducted by the Knowledge Media Division.

This content is being made available as a trial, and is being delivered from a development server. The system will undergo changes as an outcome of your feedback and as a part of the move to production, and the system may be unavailable from time to time as these changes are incorporated. This implementation of the TLF content is expected to go into production in 2008 on a more powerful server, so comments on performance are welcome but will not be addressed in full until the production environment is ready. * Please use the link within the system to provide feedback on ease of use, but not for system unavailability.

Access content from the Learning Federation trial

(NB. You need to be accessing from a Deakin network or remotely via VPN connection. The material available in this trial is also available on DVD (available from the Deakin library) and also the ITSD computer labs.

Navigating the TLF content
The TLF collection is divided into Learning Objects and Digital Resources. The Learning Objects are identified with the appropriate year level for delivery to students, and the Digital Resources consist of Video, Audio and Pictures.

The selection screen for Learning Objects looks like this. 

Select the year levels that you wish to search and move them into the right hand box using the arrow buttons.
Enter the search terms in the Search field and click on the search button
