About the Deakin MEd

The Deakin University Master of Education is offered through Abu Dhabi Women's College and Dubai Women's College. The program, whcih commenced in August 2005, currently enrols over 50 students. Deakin University Faculty of Arts and Education staff present a series of study intensives in the UAE, drawing on contemporary web-based and print materials. The course may be completed within 18 months, depending on the number of units taken at one time.

For the award of the Master of Education degree, students are required to satisfactorily complete eight credit points of study. The course may be undertaken by coursework only or by coursework and research paper. The research pathway would allow later entry to a Doctor of Philosophy course.

The Master of Education program is administered by the Postgraduate Courses Administration Office in the Faculty of Arts and Education which has an international reputation for providing high-quality professional development programs for teachers and workplace educators.
