Admission requirements

The minimum entry requirement is the completion of an approved two-year post Year-12 study in early childhood studies for example, a Diploma of Children’s Services or equivalent kindergarten or Early Childhood Education qualification.

In addition to the academic entry requirements, international applicants must meet the School of Education’s English language entry requirements.  For the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education an IELTS score of 7 with no band score less than 7 is required.

All applicants must also hold a current Level 2 First Aid certificate.

Applicants supplying transcripts with ungraded passes/competencies will be required to supply evidence of their standards of achievement.

Advanced Standing

Applicants with three years of approved early childhood education tertiary study (such as a three year Bachelor of Early Childhood degree) may apply for up to 1 year of advanced standing, entering at the Year 4 level.
