International activities

The School of Education is committed to developing and sustaining meaningful, mutually beneficial and enduring relationships with other institutions across the broad landscape of university activity including academic research and collaboration, academic and student exchange and professional development for teachers and educators.

International collaboration

The School is involved in the following international collaborative activities:

• Aceh delegations studying Master of TESOL and Master of Education
  
  
• The delivery of the Deakin Master of Education, as part of a dual degree, offered in partnership with the Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE
  
  
• The delivery of professional development programs at the Masters and Doctoral levels in conjunction with educational authorities in South East Asia, the Middle East and North America
  
  
• Recently completed: The Deakin Bachelor of Primary Education (Science) and the Bachelor of Primary Education (Mathematics) was offered in Malaysia as part of the Malaysian Government project to reintroduce the teaching of mathematics and science in English.
  
  

Student programs

• Global Experience Program: provides the opportunity for undergraduate students to gain experience teaching at an overseas location.
  
  
• Student exchange and study abroad programs: the School actively encourages the exchange of undergraduate teaching students between Deakin and institutions in other countries.
