International activities

The School of Education is committed to developing and sustaining meaningful, mutually beneficial and enduring relationships with other institutions across the broad landscape of university activity including academic research and collaboration, academic and student exchange and professional development for teachers and educators.

International collaboration

The School is currently involved in the following international collaborative activities:

• The delivery of the Deakin Master of Education in collaboration with the Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE
  
  
• The Deakin Bachelor of Primary Education (Science) and the Bachelor of Primary Education (Mathematics) are being offered in Malaysia as part of the Malaysian Government project to reintroduce the teaching of mathematics and science in English
  
  
• The delivery of professional development programs at the Masters and Doctoral levels in conjunction with educational authorities in South East Asia, the Middle East and North America
  
  
• Quality learning across international boundaries, collaboration between the School and University Sains Malaysia.
  
  

Student programs

• Global Experience Program: provides the opportunity for undergraduate students to gain experience teaching at an overseas location.
  
  
• Student exchange and study abroad programs: the School actively encourages the exchange of undergraduate teaching students between Deakin and institutions in other countries.
