School celebrates first year of Bachelor of Early Childhood Education delivered via Deakin at Your Doorstep
On Friday 7 June, the School of Education joined with its TAFE partners to celebrate the first year that the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education has been delivered via Deakin at Your Doorstep. Colleagues and guests listened to students and staff from Chisholm Institute of TAFE (Rosebud Campus), Sunraysia Institute of TAFE (Swan Hill Campus) and South West Institute of TAFE (Portland Campus). The Deakin at Your Doorstep delivery mode uses state of the art video conferencing learning centres, specialised early childhood teaching staff and locally trained tutorial support officers. The unique learning environment links students studying the course throughout Victoria, with immediate real time feedback from lecturing staff and one-on-on support from the relevant campus.
