About the GEP
Opportunity for students currently enrolled in:
  • Bachelor of Education(Primary)
  • Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary)/Bachelor of Arts
  • Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary)/Bachelor of Health Science
  • Bachelor of Teaching (Science)/Bachelor of Science
  • Bachelor of Health and Physical Education

To be eligible, students must have successfully completed a local professional experience round.

The GEP teaching practice is a replacement for one of the teaching rounds normally undertaken in the 2nd or 3rd year of studies.

Each three-week program operates at different times during the academic year.

Consider your first and second preferences of GEP locations before registering.

 

How to apply
  1. Register your interest in participating in the GEP with the GEP Administration

  2. Make contact with the country coordinator

  3. Attend preliminary information meetings

  4. Complete the application form

  5. Once you receive notification that you have been accepted download and forward the remaining forms *
    • Student in country protocol agreement
    • Health statement form
    • Travel insurance form
      Deakin Overseas Travel information for students
    • Emergency contact form
* The country coordinator will provide further information about the above in meetings.
