Role and profile Researcher in the Science, Technology, Environmental, Mathematics Education group in the School of Education.
Research interests Professor Symington’s major research interest is in science education, particularly the role that can be played by non-school personnel individually and through commercial, community, and professional organizations in school science.
Current research projects Professor Symington is a member of research teams for a number of funded projects - the development of an Innovation Framework for the Australian School Innovation in Science, Technology and Mathematics Project; the School/Community Links Project; and the Professional Development in Rural and Regional areas Project.
