Research interests My research and teaching interests are centred on language and literacy and the nexus between education and social justice. This includes a focus on:
• The intersections between gender, race, culture and class and their impact on teacher and student learning and identities and on literacy practices and pedagogies
• Cross generational pedagogies, home-school relations and multimodal learning beyond the classroom
• Visual and virtual ethnographic methodologies
