The newly accredited Bachelor of Health and Physical education is available on both the Burwood and Geelong Campuses from 2013. This course replaces the Bachelor of Physical Education and is indicative of our aim and philosophy of providing a program that will meet the needs of schools into the future. It is the first truly integrated Health and Physical Education degree on the mainland preparing students as Health and Physical Education teachers and recognizing the inexplicable link between health, wellbeing and physical activity. We advocate an integrated and strengths based approach in the context of programs that are challenging, inclusive and participatory and promote student wellbeing.
The Health and Physical Education Discipline group also provide core and elective units in Health and Physical Education and Student Wellbeing as part of the Bachelor of Education (Primary), the Bachelor of Teaching Secondary and the Master of Teaching. These units continue our philosophy of inclusivity, promoting student wellbeing and participation.
