Becoming authorised: an investigation of quality doctoral writing
The objective of this project is to improve the quality of the doctoral eperience by foregrounding writing. More specifically, the project aims to:

Examine the links between the written form of the doctoral dissertation and the writing published after the PhD

Map the kind and extend of writing students produe out of the dissertation

Explore the effects of doctoral writing on the professional identity of the writer

Pilot a research design and interview protocol for examining the uses of doctoral writing
