Application process

Scholars interested in the postdoctoral research fellow international and research associate international streams are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for consideration in the scheme.

Interested applicants can nominate an academic staff member with whom they've discussed their project and availability for supervision. Applications who don't nominate a supervisor will be referred to a school within the faculty, which will determine the availability of resources and supervision

We encourage applicants to apply well in advance of their proposed visit, in order to ensure processing times can be met. Once an EOI has been received, you'll be notified as soon as a decision has been determined. Additional supporting information may be requested during this process to assist with the decision.

Visa information

International visitors to Australia require a visa. If your application is accepted for the international visiting scholar scheme, you'll be notified of the visa application process.

Visa processing times can take several months, so we encourage you to lodge your application early.
