Aceh Deakin Alumni holds annual workshops
Aceh Deakin Alumni with support from Deakin University Australia continue to run annual workshops for teachers to improve their delivery in English throughout the region in Aceh, with a series of capacity building activities.
The latest workshop - NARRATIVE REPORT OF ENHANCING CAPACITY OF TEACHERS TOWARD ENGLISH FOR YOUNG LEARNERS was held 28 June - 11 July 2012.
The training focused on primary and secondary school teachers from two regions in Aceh - Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh.
The contents were presented to cope with challenges as follows;
- Realizing AJEL (Active, Joyful, Effective Learning) in classroom
- The Introduction of English for Young Learners and its Curriculum Development
- English Skills (Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing)
- Micro Teachings and Learning Kits Simulations
These topics were compiled and delivered by Aceh Deakin Alumni who studied MTESOL at Deakin University.
