Deakin lecturer visits university in Norway

Dr. Lisa Scharoun, Lecturer of Graphic Design in the School of Communication and Creative Arts, Faculty of Arts and Education, was invited to be a guest lecturer at Norges Kreative Fagskole (NKF) in Olso, Norway from February 1st to 8th 2009.

During this period Lisa worked with Bibbi von Kortvelyessy, course coordinator of Graphic Design at NKF, in implementing a logo project and overseeing the outcomes of the project. Lisa’s advice and assistance on design principles and practices was well received by NKF students who gave positive feedback on the experience to NKF lecturers.

The week culminated with a lecture on Graphic Design in Australia to give Norwegian students an overview of the opportunities for Graphic Designers in Australia and how they can attain their goals through study at Deakin.

Lisa and Bibbi plan to continue a partnership in hopes of creating further cross-cultural design projects and opportunities for both NKF and Deakin University Graphic Design students.
