Service to the University,

Alyson Miller is currently involved in a number of projects involved in encouraging
young writers to pursue creative writing and literary studies, and to help students
from low-SES backgrounds to aspire to further education. These projects include:

- Running poetry and creative writing workshops in Geelong secondary schools;
- Editing and producing Imagine, an online journal for Geelong secondary school
and Deakin University students;
- Editing and producing Windmills, a literary zine attracting work from local,
national and international writers;
- Organising a poetry 'slam' for Geelong school students, to be held in October,
2013.
