| Research interests |
My current research and creative practice explores relationship between astronomy and photography. The work investigates historical and contemporary issues related to the body, time and space as well as pre and post lens and photographic representation and detection of celestial bodies and how these have lead to mapping and modelling of the universe. These explorations have been presented in the form of creative exhibitions and conference papers and presentations. My practice also includes interactive image and sound based installation art. Currently undertaking PhD at RMIT School of Visual Arts As a tertiary educator I have been responsible for establishing collaborative links between 2nd year photography students at Deakin and students from other universities at a national and global level. These collaborations involve online exchanges of images and text and the final collaborative projects are presented in The Suburb As Site virtual gallery which is located o the Deakin server. |
