Role and profile Colleen researches international newsgathering and teaches
radio and television units. She has worked as a producer,
reporter & news editor for high-profile international
broadcasters including the BBC, Independent Television News,
Television Francaise 1, Associated Press Television News, CBC,
ABC and SBS.
Teaching responsibilities Chair of ALJ318 (Radio), ALJ319 (Television). Guest lectures
into ACM701 (Global media and war) and AIP204 (Politics and the
Media).
Research interests Foreign correspondence; crisis reporting; transnational
broadcasting; public service broadcasting; 24 hour news
stations; international news agencies; political reporting;
podcasting; citizen journalism & verification of UGC.
