Chloe Hooper

“People don’t make this kind of fuss for nothing.”
Kerryn Goldsworthy, The Australian.

Chloe Hooper has received much acclaim for her debut novel A Child’s Book of True Crime, which was short-listed for a number of awards including the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards and the Orange Prize. With The Tall Man, a work of creative nonfiction and her second book-length work, Hooper looks set to capture a new reading audience.

“From the first pages [of The Tall Man], it’s clear that you’re in the hands of an extraordinary writer, one who spins out perfectly observed sentences and intricate observations….”
Jo Case, Readings Monthly

Charlotte Wood
" ...The Children is Wood's best work yet.”
Stephanie Bishop, Australian Book Review

Charlotte Wood has published three novels all of which have received critical acclaim, and have been widely and favourably reviewed.

Charlotte Wood's first novel, Pieces of a Girl, was widely read and warmly reviewed and her second, The Submerged Cathedral, was short listed for the Miles Franklin Literary Award. The Children, her third, is written with the skill and confidence of someone who knows that if she has already done it twice then she can most certainly do it a third time...
