| Role and profile | Alistair has extensive language teaching experience and substantial in-country experience in Indonesia. Alistair is a NAATI accredited Indonesian translator and has worked in that role for the Commonwealth Government in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. In 2005-2006 Alistair was on leave from Deakin and employed on the AusAID-funded 'Islamic Schools English Language Project' in East Java. He is currently Director of Deakin's in-country intensive Indonesian program, held in Malang, East Java at the Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim. | |
