Dr David Wetherell is a social historian with particular interests and experience in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific island States. His main research interests are in inter-island migration agents to the Polynesian and melanesian peoples, church history in the Pacific, with particular attention to the development of industrial missions in the western Pacific. He is the author of Reluctant Mission, a history of the Anglican Church in Papua New Guinea, Charles Abel and the Kwato Mission of Papua New Guinea, plus many other scholarly publications. |
