Role and profile Tony teaches modern European history and twentieth century
world history.

Research interests Tony's research focuses on contemporary German history
and the politics of war memory and commemoration.

Current research projects Tony currently is co-authoring, with Deakin colleague Professor
David Lowe, a book entitled Remembering the Cold War (Routledge, 2013).
This book is the first volume in a new Routledge
interdisciplinary series on Remembering the Modern World, for
which David and Tony are Series General Editors.
