| Role and profile |
Alice has worked at Deakin University since 1995 where she initially worked in the Financial and Business Services Division before moving to the Faculty of Education. Alice was an elected member to the implementation committee which led the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Education through the amalgamation in 2007/08. Alice is now the Faculty General Manager in the Faculty of Arts and Education. FGM's Office The Faculty General Manager is accountable for the management of the administrative functions of the Faculty. The FGM's Office takes a leadership role in strategic planning, financial management, load planning, course development, accreditation and reaccreditation, and policy development to support the Faculty to function effectively in teaching and learning, research, international, access and equity, community, marketing and commercial activities. The FGM is a member of the Faculty's Executive Group and works in partnership with the Dean, Heads of School, and Associate Deans in the implementation of the new merged Faculty, to seek new opportunities for enhancing the standing of the Faculty and to achieve both strategic and operational objectives. In addition, the FGM has an external focus with responsibility for Faculty partnerships, commercial and fee-paying activities, both domestic and international. The Office acts as the interface between the Faculty and senior members of the central administration of the University. |

Scholarship to attend the Tertiary Education Managers (TEM) conference in 2007. Deans award in 2008 for outstanding contribution to the Faculty. Vice-Chancellors Award in 2009 for Outstanding contribution to Resources, Finance and Infrastructure. |
