Management

Why study management?

Studying management will give you an understanding of the latest management practices and a perspective on key issues such as change, innovation and technology, globalisation quality, and employee participation and performance. It examines management practice in specific contexts and gives you the chance to integrate your knowledge through a practical project or case study.

In addition, Management studies seek to develop the generic management skills of communication, problem solving, planning, organising, managing change and working co-operatively with others. If you can develop and exercise these management skills within your immediate work environment you will ultimately make a real contribution in your work and your success will reflect the extent of this contribution.

Deakin University provides an integrated study of modern management theory and practice in an Australian and global context.
