Partnerships in international educational institutions

Kolej Disted-Stamford, Penang, Malaysia

Deakin University’s offshore teaching partnership with Kolej Disted-Stamford started in 1987, which makes it one of the longest-standing relationships between an Australian university and a Malaysian tertiary college. Deakin’s Bachelor of Commerce program has been central to Disted’s operations in this period. The partnership allows students to either complete two years of the Bachelor of Commerce in Penang and the final year in Australia, or to complete the three years at Kolej Disted-Stamford.

TMC Educational Group, Singapore

Deakin University commences its partnership with TMC in 1995 to provide an opportunity for Singaporeans to upgrade diploma qualifications gained from local polytechnics to the Deakin University Bachelor of Commerce. TMC now offers Deakin programs to a culturally diverse range of international students studying in Singapore. Programs offered at TMC include the Bachelor of Business Information Systems, the Master of Business Administration, the Master of Commerce, the Master of Business Administration (International), and the CIMA-Master of Business Administration.

Vocational Training Centre (VTC), Hong Kong

Deakin University has an offshore teaching partnership with VTC for the offer of the Master of Insurance and Risk Management, Master of Business Administration and the Graduate Diploma of Financial Services to international students. The Graduate Diploma of Financial Services incorporates the Fellowship program of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
