Course rules All courses of the university have structures which include the completion of a set number of units and may also include completion of core units or particular sequences of units. For many units of study there are prerequisite units, which must be completed before enrolment in a subsequent unit will be accepted.
The university will provide complete, accurate, consistent and comprehensive information regarding course rules and requirements via the university handbook and/or online repositories.
The course rules for each course are are set out in the Current Students course search. Type your course name or course code into the search engine. Under the Course sub-headings choose ‘Course rules’.
All students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Information Systems, Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Management and combined courses regardless of their initial year of enrolment, can count units towards more than one major, however there must be at least two units contributing to the first major which are not also counted in the second major.
This also applies to double counting in postgraduate specialisations.
