Timetables

Class timetablestudents

An online campus-based timetable of all units is normally available on a provisional basis at least 6-8 weeks prior to the start of semester. Timetables may be viewed on the web at Class Timetables.

A personalised timetable will be available online through STAR once you have registered for your classes.

Because changes can be made to the timetable right up to the start of semester, students should recheck the details in the first week of semester.

Occasionally units with small enrolment numbers are withdrawn from offer. Please check the handbook and the timetable to select an alternative unit.

Examination Timetable

Personal examination timetables are available on StudentConnect six weeks from the commencement date of the exam period.

Timetable Clashes

Where there is a timetable clash for lectures there are two options:

  1. Change unit enrolment to avoid the clash, i.e. enrol in another unit that doesn't clash. In this case you will need to vary your enrolment online via StudentConnect; or
  2. Make alternative arrangements that you find acceptable as a substitute for lecture attendance, e.g. use the Deakin-produced study guides and readers available in the bookshop, and/or arrange to get notes and copies of any handouts from another student attending the lectures.

You should also consider discussing any clash with a student adviser at the Faculty office.

Note that a timetable clash for any particular student is not cause for amending the lecture timetables. The timetable is developed to ensure minimal clashes for popular combinations of units.
