Biography
Dr Heather Round is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management in Deakin Business School. Before becoming an academic Heather spent over 25 years working on large-scale projects within government, public and private organisations in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, where she led a number of large-scale organisational transformation programmes, which included people, technology and process change.
Heather’s experience in facilitating organisational change and developing management capabilities, in particular looking at the individual and team processes around creativity and innovation form a basis of her experiential approach to teaching.
As an academic, Heather's research focuses on innovation, creativity and leadership with a deep interest in individual identity work and how this influences individual action taking in the organisational context. Heather continues to work with organisations in a consulting role to assist with developing leadership diversity and amplifying creativity and innovative thinking.
