My name is Josh I am a third year economics student majoring in finance and economics. I undertook my internship with the Planwell Financial Group in Geelong.
The internship consisted of working on advice with financial planning and doing daily updates on the stock market graphs and giving them to other members of the staff at Planwell. The biggest thing I got out of my internship was the industry experience, being hands on in an office; you can't get that in a classroom.
The first thing people notice when going for an interview for a graduate position is my work at Planwell Financial Group. Everyone has asked me "tell me about this experience" and "tell me about the training" or "tell me about a time you had to use initiative" and everything comes back to this industry experience. Even though it was only 13 weeks long, everything comes back to my internship experience.
