Business Internship Program

How to find an intern (for Business Hosts)

Internship students are a no cost resource for the host organisation.

In return for hosting a student a business host will have access to the observations, research and contribution of a senior student.

Hosts will gain exposure to current theory and teaching through their interface with the student.

Projects of benefit or interest to the host can be undertaken at no direct cost with all final project reports made available after assessment. Projects are negotiable and students who make a general contribution (where no written report is required by the host) have the option of completing a Case Study report.

Deakin University’s student employment website JobShop advertises internship positions. Advertising on this web site is a free service to business hosts. The Jobshop also offers a full range of employment and placement services which are available to any employer.

Business and community organisations considering hosting are encouraged to contact the Program Coordinator to discuss the opportunity.

Please download the BIP Information Kit from the Resources for hosts page for more details.
