Schools in the Faculty
The School of Accounting, Economics and Finance offers innovative and relevant units in accounting, economics, finance and financial planning which prepare students for their future careers in business, the professions and the public sector.
The School of Information and Business Analytics offers both coursework and higher degrees by research which address the use of Information Technology in organisations. Teaching areas include business analytics, eBusiness, information systems security, systems implementation/management and supply chain management.
The Management and Marketing School offers a range of teaching programs and research opportunities in the fields of management, marketing, human resource management, sport management, arts and entertainment management and business communication.
The Graduate School provides postgraduate business courses including the Deakin MBA and Executive Development modules. DGSB staff conduct innovative research in a range of fields and are actively involved with the business community.
The Law School offers Deakin's Bachelor of Laws (LLB) which has a strong commercial focus with an international orientation. This enables law graduates to undertake legal work in a wide range of settings whether in Australia or abroad. Our postgraduate programs reflect our commitment to being a significant centre for teaching and research in commercial law.
Business and Law Research Centres
This Strategic Research Centre uses an interdisciplinary approach to address how public and private organisations can be both ecologically sustainable and financially responsible over the long term. This work is carried out from an economic, social, environmental and ethical perspective. It aims to improve management theory and practice as well as industry and government policy.
The Centre's strengths are:

- Macroeconomic Policy and Growth
- Political Economy and Public Choice
- Research estimation techniques and tools development to estimate and test traditional hypotheses and models in Finance
The Centre for Rural Regional Law and Justice seeks to enhance access to improved justice systems and services for rural and regional Australians through research, education, engagement and advocacy.
