The Centre for Financial Econometrics's agenda is to develop and apply econometric tools for financial economics. While there are a number of researchers working in this field, the CFE is unique in its collaborative approach. The medium-term objective is to be recognized as Australia's leading research centre in the field of financial econometrics. The long-term objective is to become world-leading in this field.

The Centre for Financial Econometrics seeks to attract high quality PhD students through its reputation for teaching and research output. PhD students are offered the opportunity to participate and present in the Centre's seminar and working paper series.
