Graduate Certificate of Chartered Accounting Foundations

The Graduate Certificate of Chartered Accounting Foundations (GCCAF) has been developed to meet the requirements of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). The course is designed for individuals who hold a non-accounting bachelor degree and who wish to pursue a career in chartered accounting. The course is a pathway to the ICAA's Chartered Accountants Program.

Course details

This course comprises of four (4) credit points of study (eight (8) core units at .5 credit points each). Duration of the course is one year, part time, off campus.

Admission

You should have your current qualifications assessed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants before enrolment so you know exactly which GCCAF units you need to complete. Download the qualifications assessment application form from the Institute of Chartered Accountants website.

What is an Academic Transcript and how can I get one?

An Academic Transcript is a certified copy of your Deakin University results. Your academic transcript will list all the subjects you have studied or are enrolled in at Deakin University along with any results. It will also list details of any advanced standing granted. This could be in the form of ‘specified’ which will list the unit name, code and the number of credit point(s) applied to that unit or ‘unspecified’, which will list the number of credit point(s) in total granted.

A statement of completion, conferral (graduation) and any prizes received will be added to your Academic Transcript once you have completed or graduated from your course.

Academic Transcripts have a cost of $20.00 for the first copy and $5.00 for any further copies ordered at the same time. Transcripts can be purchased from Deakin Central Offices on any campus or can be ordered by phone or email using your credit card by contacting the Customer Service Centre.
