Deakin University has built an enviable international reputation for fostering outstanding research programs in areas relevant to our future. The Faculty of Business and Law is committed to multidisciplinary research with an emphasis on high quality discovery and applied and commercial research that is relevant to the broader community.
The Faculty has research groupings in the key areas of: governance, regulation and performance; law and justice; theoretical and applied economics; work, workers and organisations; and information security and privacy.
We offer candidature in the following Higher Degrees by Research (HDR).
A member of the academic staff is appointed as principal supervisor for each candidate for a higher degree. A candidate is required to complete a thesis embodying the results of research carried out in the field of study specified at the time of enrolment.
The five Schools within the Faculty have their own areas of expertise in teaching and research. They can offer specialised supervision of HDR candidates in these areas.
