Finance

Finance is all about decision-making. Do I buy or sell, invest or borrow? Every day around the world finance specialists are making these decisions. These specialists research and analyse the financial aspects of organisations and provide advice on investments.

You will gain a broad understanding of the structure and operations of financial markets in Australia, together with the theory and techniques underlying financial management.

Why choose Deakin?

At an undergraduate level, a finance specialisation can be studied through the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). Deakin's BCom is internationally recognised and EPAS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EPAS is an international quality benchmark for business programs worldwide. Deakin is the only Australian university with EPAS accreditation for its Bachelor of Commerce.

Career opportunities
As a graduate you may find employment opportunities in banking, broking, credit analysis, funds management, insurance, international finance, risk management, securities analysis or treasury management.
