International Business

As business increasingly operates on a global scale there is a pressing need for enhanced management skills and knowledge appropriate to the internationalised environment. Managing the complexities of international trade and a diverse workforce are just some of the challenges facing organisations.

Why choose Deakin?

At an undergraduate level, an international business specialisation can be studied through the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). Deakin's BCom is internationally recognised and EPAS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EPAS is an international quality benchmark for business programs worldwide. Deakin is the only Australian university with EPAS accreditation for its Bachelor of Commerce.

Postgraduate study

The Master of International Business is designed for graduates wanting to specialise in international business and develop the skills to manage in the global business environment wherever their international careers take them. A Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma are available as pathways into the Master of International Business.

Career opportunities

Opportunities exist in economic or management consultancies, financial institutions, government bodies, industry associations, major corporations or multi-national organisations.
