Faculty of Business and Law

return to study mid year intake

International Management

Business now operates in a dynamic global environment. Deakin has introduced this major sequence in international management in response to the need for graduates who have the appropriate skills and knowledge to embrace this demanding and complex field.

This major sequence focuses on international managerial issues and the impact these global forces have on domestic business. It also prepares you for the challenges facing modern managers in a vibrant global environment.

Why choose Deakin?

At an undergraduate level, a international management specialisation can be studied through the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). Deakin's BCom is internationally recognised and EPAS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).

EPAS is an international quality benchmark for business programs worldwide. Deakin is the only Australian university with EPAS accreditation for its Bachelor of Commerce.

Career opportunities

Employment opportunities exist in many environments: firms dealing with international trade, subsidiaries of multinational corporations operating in Australia and other countries, consultative organisations dealing with international business issues, and firms operating in foreign countries.
