Management

Deakin offers an integrated and progressive study of modern management theory and practice in an Australian and global context.

Management refers to the procedures and systems used in an organisation to assess how individuals and the organisation itself can best operate. You will examine concepts such as managing change, globalisation, problem solving, innovation and technology, and planning.

Leading Australia with international recognition

Deakin's Bachelor of Commerce is internationally recognised and EPAS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EPAS is an international quality benchmark for business programs worldwide. Deakin is the only Australian university with EPAS accreditation for its Bachelor of Commerce.

Career opportunities

Management can lead to a variety of careers in Australia and overseas. These include business analyst, project manager, customer relations, financial planner, events manager, business development manager, procurement manager, business operations manager, finance manager, small business owner, sustainability consultant, property management or product manager. Depending on your major, you may also find a career as HR officer, marketing officer or economist.
