Marketing

Marketing consists of the strategies and tactics that identify, create and maintain customer relationships resulting in value for both the customer and organisation. Our marketing courses and specialisations are designed to prepare you for this dynamic field.

At an undergraduate level our marketing major sequence provides specialist knowledge and skills in areas such as: strategy, research, integrated marketing communication, analysis and planning, branding, advertising, public relations, implementation and consumer behaviour.

The Master of Marketing is a specialist, professional course for graduates who have not studied marketing previously. It provides an understanding of the theoretical, practical and research frameworks which underpin marketing. Deakin's Master of Marketing gives particular emphasis to services and international marketing.

Why choose Deakin?

At an undergraduate level, a marketing specialisation can be studied through the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and at a postgraduate level a marketing specialisation can be studied through the Deakin MBA. Both the Deakin MBA and BCom are internationally recognised and EPAS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EPAS is an international quality benchmark for business programs worldwide. Deakin is the only Australian university with EPAS accreditation for its Bachelor of Commerce and one of only three Australian universities with an EPAS accredited MBA.
