The Master of Business (Sport Management) develops a comprehensive understanding of the integration of business disciplines in the effective management of sport and the leadership to provide effective management and direction to sporting organisations.
Our Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) is a broad business degree that increases your knowledge across management, marketing, finance, economics, information systems and law and provides you with a understanding of the business of sport.
Deakin's sport management curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of industry and best practices. Our advisory board includes representatives from AFL, Athletics Victoria, Netball Victoria, Spalding Australia, Tennis Australia, the MCC, Vic Sport and IMG.
There is a need for qualified people to manage facilities catering for sport from a local level through to hosting national and international competition. Sports including Australian football, basketball, cricket, tennis and golf, plus national and state sporting organisations all require professionally trained people.
