Tourism

Study tourism as part of a concurrent course offered by Deakin University and Box Hill Institute or The Gordon Tafe.

The innovative program has strong industry links and equips students with knowledge and skills in tourism operations management, customer service, sales and marketing, business skills and concepts, research, project management and implementing operational plans.

Deakin studies concentrate on core business management skills and the TAFE units deliver a range of vocational training designed to develop hands on skills in real work environments.

Career opportunities

The combined management course in tourism can lead to a career as a tourism developer, marketer, government tourism consultant, major and special event coordinator, planner, researcher and consultant, tourism operator or tourism marketing manager.
