Teaching and Professional experience:	Prior to joining Deakin University, Dr. McDonald was on the faculty of Swinburne University and the University of Adelaide. He has over a decade of industry marketing experience working with organisations such as the AFL, the State Government of S.A., the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Local Authorities Super, the V.A.C.C. and the Federal Department of Environment and Heritage.
