Students cannot enrol themselves in the study program units via StudentConnect. Once you have made your successful application, you will be notified and enrolment will be manually processed for you.

Students have the choice of completing one or both of the following units on the program:

International Business Management
MPT735
This unit covers the role and issues of management in the international environment. The principal aim is to provide students with the requisite knowledge and skills that will enable them to manage in a complex and foreign business environment. The unit also provides an overview of the international economic, political, legal and cultural environments within which international businesses have to operate. The main thrust of the unit, however, is a focus upon international business management strategy.

Assessment: Two major integrated group assignments based on the experience of the study program, plus a reflections paper.


Human Resource Management
MPT722
The objective of this unit is to develop students' understanding of strategic human resource management and the policies, methods and techniques utilised in human resource management functions with particular emphasis on the international workplace. Specific attention is given to issues of international recruitment, selection, human resource planning, human resources development, and managing the cross-border organisational performance. The focus is on international and comparative issues and solutions.

Assessment: One individual assignment, and two major integrated group assignments based on the experience of the study program.
