Arranging an internship
The student would be responsible for seeking and negotiating a placement in an organisation of their choice. The Unit Chair can be consulted to provide assistance in targeting organisations and verifying the suitability of the placement being negotiated.
Publications such as the annual Graduate Opportunities (available from Student/Life on campus, online or good bookshops everywhere) are a good source of information and advice. There are also a number of web sites listing internship opportunities in Australia and overseas. Many of these are fee paying arrangements and others may be restricted to students of particular countries or universities.
