The Deakin Philosophy
Deakin University aims to ensure that postgraduate courses provide educational experiences designed to develop an appropriate level of expert knowledge of a field of study and attributes, including skills and personal qualities that will serve MBA graduates in their professional lives beyond their academic studies.
The University is progressively accrediting its postgraduate courses to ensure that they explicitly develop and assess (to the extent possible) the attributes of a Deakin MBA graduate, consistent with the following Deakin philosophy:

- the ability to identify, gather, retrieve and operate on textual, graphical and numerical information at a standard appropriate to the discipline area and level of award;
- a good standard of oral and written communication and presentation;
- a capacity for teamwork and collaboration;
- an ability for critical thinking, analysis and problem solving;
- organisational and personal management skills;
