Professor Ross Chapman

The Deakin Graduate School of Business welcomes their new Head of School

Prior to joining the Deakin Graduate School of Business as Head of School, Professor Ross Chapman was Professor of Business Systems in the College of Business at the University of Western Sydney, where he held several senior management positions including Associate Dean (Research) and Director, Centre for Industry and Innovation Studies. Professor Chapman is currently a Non-Executive Director on the Board of two not-for-profit organisations and a member of the ANZAM Executive Committee where he is President-Elect in 2010. His research and teaching activities include a wide range of applied areas including: Innovation and Technology Management; Continuous Improvement, Performance Measurement and Business Systems Improvement. He is currently supervising 5 doctoral research students and has 14 PhD completions to date. He is author or co-author of 3 books and over 90 refereed journal and conference papers in the above areas. He has also been successful in winning and managing several large research grants linked to industry and firm improvement, and is an International Grant Assessor for the ARC and several European and Asian Grants Councils.
