Costs

Unit fees

These units attract all standard unit enrolment fees .
In addition to the unit fee/s, each participant is required to pay the study program fee.

2013 Study Program fee

Costs will be advised once the 2013 program has been finalised.

Please note that all costs associated with the tour are subject to currency fluctuations.

Visas

It is up to each student to organise their own visas. It is advisable that students apply for their visas as soon as the study tour is confirmed.

Travel insurance

Students must complete the Student Overseas Travel Insurance Request online application form. Students are not covered under the Deakin University Travel Insurance Policy until they are in receipt of a travel insurance confirmation email from the Risk Management Unit. Please submit this email with your other supporting documentation.

2012 Study Program fee

The 2012 Study Program fee was AU$ 4960. This included:

  • Accommodation (twin share)
  • Hotel breakfasts and lunch
  • 3 x special dinners
  • Airport transfers in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles
  • Travel to and from company sites in the itinerary

This fee did not cover:

  • Airfares to and from Australia and the USA and airport and departure taxes at the start and end of program. (From home to New York and Los Angeles to home)
  • Airport transfer to New York
  • Airport transfer departing Los Angeles
  • Travel/Medical insurance (although free if you apply through the University conditions apply)
  • Single accommodation
  • Visas
  • Spending money
  • Some meals
  • Additional meals not included in program fee
  • Unit fee/s
