The cost of the 2012 tour will be A$5000.00 (indicative price only, yet to be confirmed). This comprises a subsidised international airfare with Singapore Airlines, accommodation and transfers plus all meals and sightseeing specified in the itinerary.

In addition to this, normal Trimester fees apply including HECS/CSP rates for eligible students.

The cost includes return economy class airfares (including taxes) Melbourne to India on Singapore Airlines with an outbound stopover in Singapore. Take a look at the travel arrangements for more information.

Included in the tour price are:

  • international airfare (including taxes) - Melbourne/Singapore/Delhi and Mumbai/Singapore/Melbourne
  • domestic airfare (including taxes) - Jaipur/Mumbai
  • all ground transfers in India and Singapore
  • all accommodation (twin share)
  • all admissions as specified in the itinerary
  • all breakfasts plus some lunch and evening meals including all special events.
  • travel insurance (covers the tour plus up to five additional days for a stopover on the way home)
  • Deakin tour t-shirt and cap
  • Deakin tour shoulder bag

The itinerary allows some afternoons and evenings free for students to make their own arrangements and to sample the delights of Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Mumbai.

Items not included in the price and that students should allow for are:

  • Passports (must have 12 months remaining from date of departure from Australia)
  • visa fees in India or Singapore (Australian citizens do not need a visa for Singapore - other nationalities should check with Reho Travel)
  • vaccinations (if required)
  • text books
  • enrolment fees
  • meals not specified on the itinerary

Deposit

An initial non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. Students are asked to nominate a preferred area/s of study and places will be allocated on a first come basis subject to the payment of the deposit.

Deakin University acknowledges the traditional land owners of present campus sites.
